There was a time we were told that the reward
of teachers was in heaven, not when you have the Vice President as your
former student. Mrs Odunisi who is 80 celebrated her former students in
pomp and style.
She taught Economics at Igbobi College, Yaba,
and some of her students are now wealthy and influential men like the
class she taught in 1975. Amongst whom are Vice President Prof. Yemi
Osinbajo, Mr Babatunde Fowler, Chairman Federal Inland Revenue Service
and Mr Adeyinka Asekun, Chaiman Wema Bank PLC.
They all gathered over the weekend to support and rejoice With one of their own, FIRS boss Tunde Fowler, who recently turned 60.
“The Reward of a Teacher is no longer in heaven. I can now see mine here on earth,” Mrs Odunisi said when she saw her boys.
