The young Chinese couple recently got married, further confirming that true love can conquer everything. These two have won millions of hearts with their extraordinary love story.

Zhouqiang, 23, and his wife Qinqin, 21, met each other not long ago, got married, and have been living happily ever after. But something is clearly not right with Qinqin's nose. What happened?

Zhouqiang was deeply attracted to Qinqin's kind heart and optimism

Qinqin's nose was reportedly bitten off by a rat when she was 29 days old. The wild little rat also chopped off flesh around the baby girl's eyes, leaving her with disfigur*d face.

Her mother, Lin Guangzhen, remembers putting tiny Qinqin in a basket in her bedroom and heading out to attend to her farm, leaving the baby unattended.

Two hours later, the mother of five was informed by her eldest daughter that Qinqin's nose was missing and that she was bleeding profusely. That is how Qinqin's face was disfigur*d. She grew up with the deformity.

Zhouqiang told a local reporter that the marriage between him and Qinqin 'might be fate'

When she started going to school, her classmates and other students laughed at her. Some bullied her. Others got frightened by her nose. She eventually dropped out of school at grade six when the bullying became too much.

Unfortunately, things were not any better back home. Some of her family members also harshly ridiculed and looked down upon her. They even said she will never get married.

When she was 17, Qinqin started looking for work. But she could not find one at her hometown, so she decided to go to Guangzhou. With the help of a countryman, she found a job at a cloth manufacturing company. Sadly, the bullying and insults continued with her workmates, forcing her to quit her job a year later.

At the age of 18, she was introduced to a man by her concerned parents. He was eight years older than her, but she accepted him anyway.

So she got married, but it lasted for two years only. The couple divorced.

"Every time we disagreed and argued, he would say that I was a freak and ask me to go back where I came from," says Qinqin, referring to her first husband.

Following the acrimonious divorce, Qinqin decided to isolate herself from the society by locking herself up in her room and hardly stepped outside the house.

During this time, she became increasingly attached to the internet, which she sued to connect with the outside world. It was through the internet that Qinqin met the love of her life, Zhouqiang.

The two quickly became close to each through chatting. Along the way Qinqin told Zhouqiang that she did not have a nose.

Unexpectedly, Qinqin's look did not discourage Zhouqiang from pursuing and falling deeply in love with her. One thing led to another and before everyone could know it they got married.

"It might be fate. Since she shared her experience, I felt she might have had a really tough life. But she was honest and humbled. So I decided to marry her after dating for month," says Zhouqiang.

The two have been living together happily despite cruel rumours and criticisms being peddled around by neighbours regarding their relationship.
