Cristiano Ronaldo has described scoring 100 European goals as “incredible” after his brace against Bayern Munich secured a Real Madrid win on Wednesday.
The Portuguese ended a seven-month Champions League goal drought in the first leg of the quarter-final tie as Los Blancos came from behind to beat Bayern.
His goals, which both came in the second half of the 2-1 win, were his 99th and 100th in Europe as Ronaldo made history in achieving the feat.
Addressing his new record, the 31-year-old said it was a “huge honour” and admitted it was not one he thought he would achieve.

Of the Portuguese’s 100, 16 came for Man United before his move in 2009 to the Bernabeu, where his most prolific haul for a season came in 2013-14 with 17.
