BREAKING!! Arsenal Striker Olivier Giroud Wins FIFA Puskas Award 2017 For Goal Of The Year [See Video]

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has won FIFA’s Puskas Award for his stunning scorpion-kick goal against Crystal Palace in January.
Giroud beat Deyna Castellanos of the Venezuela U17 women’s team and South Africa goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke of Baroka FC to the award, which recognises the ‘most beautiful goal of the season’.
Castellanos scored virtually straight from kick-off with a remarkable strike from the half-way line while Masuluke netted a stoppage-time bicycle kick.
But Giroud’s stunning effort at the Emirates in January, which helped Arsenal beat Premier League rivals Palace, was deemed the best of the lot and the Frenchman received his award at Monday’s ceremony at the London Palladium.
‘Thank you very much, first of all I want to say it’s an honour for me, I’m delighted to receive their trophy in front of so many legends,’ Giroud said at the awards ceremony. ‘I want to thank those who voted for me – and congratulate the other nominees who scored amazing goals too.
‘Obviously I would like to thank my team-mates, without them I couldn’t score this goal. I would like to dedicate this trophy to my dad.’ More to follow…

BREAKING NEWS!! Cristiano Ronaldo Beats Lionel Messi To Win FIFA Player Of The Year Award 2017

Cristiano Ronaldo was named the world’s best player at the 2017 Best Fifa Football Awards at the London Palladium.
Real Madrid and Portugal forward Ronaldo, 32, beat Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Paris St-Germain’s Neymar to the honour.
Ronaldo helped Real to a Champions League-La Liga double in 2016-17. Lieke Martens of Barcelona and the Netherlands was named the world’s best female player. Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane was named best men’s coach, Netherlands boss Sarina Wiegman won the female coach award, while Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud received the Puskas award for the best goal of 2017.

Chelsea Boss Conte Gives Update On Injured Trio Kante, Drinkwater & Morata

 

Chelsea coach, Antonio Conte, has given update on his players N’Golo Kante, Alvaro Morata and Danny Drinwater.
Conte spoke at a news conference Friday afternoon ahead of Saturday’s away match at Crystal Palace.
In a series of tweets via @ChelseaFC, Conte was quoted as saying “Danny Drinkwater is progressing well with his recovery but we must be patient with him”.
“On Kante, it’s a muscular problem and he could be out for around 20 days but another scan is needed to understand more”.
The Blues manager also said he hopes to have Morata back for Roma.
Conte added that “what’s important now is to be focused on the next game and try to do our job in the best way”.
He, however, revealed that Michy Batshuayi is ‘in contention’ to start against Crystal Palace tomorrow.

‘Why Liverpool Will NEVER Win The Premier League Under Klopp’- Carragher



Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has admitted he cannot see the club winning the Premier League while Jurgen Klopp is manager.
The Reds have struggled recently, winning just one of their last seven games.
This weekend, Klopp’s side welcome bitter rivals Manchester United, who are joint-top with Manchester City.
Since taking charge at Anfield, Klopp has delivered a win percentage ratio of 49.5, lower than predecessor Brendan Rodgers’s 54.1 per cent.
“Liverpool will not win the title this season. I am not convinced Jürgen Klopp will ever be able to bring it back to Anfield.
“I am not sure when my old club will win it again. I certainly do not see it happening in the near future.
“No team have won the league conceding the number of goals of Klopp’s side,” Jamie Carragher told the Telegraph.

Just In!! Arsenal Star Alexis Sanchez Requests To Leave Club For Manchester City (Full Story)



Arsenal forward, Alexis Sanchez, has requesed to leave the Chile national team camp, to complete his move to Manchester City.
City are desperate to land the 28-year-old before the transfer window closes on Thursday night and are willing to add Raheem Sterling as part of the deal.
Sanchez himself is determined to get his preferred move to the Etihad Stadium, as he is eager to be reunited with his former Barcelona manager, Pep Guardiola.
It is currently unclear if the player has been granted permission to leave training with the national side, who face Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Thursday.
Gunners boss Arsene has always maintained that Sanchez is not for sale, even with one year left on his current contract.

Premier League!! Sergio Aguero Scores As Man City Beat Brighton 2-0 (Details)



Premier League title favourites Manchester City had to wait to break down promoted Brighton before two late goals gave them victory on the south coast.
The Seagulls, back in the top flight after a 34-year absence, had showed impressive organisation and resolve to keep City at bay until David Silva played in Sergio Aguero to fire home after 70 minutes.
Lewis Dunk headed Fernandinho’s cross into his own net five minutes to make sure of the points for Pep Guardiola’s new-look side.
Brighton, who had less than 25% of possession, spent most of the game defending in their own half but had chances with the score at 0-0.
Shane Duffy had a shot deflected just wide and, after City’s new £35m goalkeeper Ederson flapped at the resulting corner, Dunk had two shots blocked in quick succession.
That was as much of a test as City’s backline got, and they never looked in serious danger of suffering an opening weekend upset in the manner of some of their title rivals.
This was was more of a test of whether Guardiola’s rebooted team could break down a massed defence. They did not do it enough in his first season at City but at the Amex Stadium, eventually, they found a way through.

Italian Forward, Balotelli In Hot Water Again



Mario Balotelli was recently caught on the wrong side of the law in Italy after he was nabbed over-speeding in a luxury car.
Mario Balotelli has again been caught speeding in his Ferrari on Tuesday as media reports claimed the striker had been caught doing 170-200kmh (105-125mph) in a race with a friend’s Lamborghini.
The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker, now at French club Nice, was stopped by a highway patrol on the A4 highway near the northern Italian town of Vicenza on Saturday, a local officer disclosed.
Media reports claimed Balotelli had been doing up to 200kmh but had escaped with a fine and five penalty points because he had only been registered at 170kmh.
The police confirmed the star had been caught and fined, along with the Lamborghini driver, but described accounts of the incident as “exaggerated”.
They would not divulge how fast Balotelli had been going but said he had been allowed to continue his journey after paying his fine and having five penalty points registered on his licence.
Balotelli racked up no fewer than 18 fines for mostly speeding offences in the space of two years in Italy in 2012 and 2013, often on the same A4 road.
In 2015, when he was playing for Liverpool, he was banned from driving for 28 days after being clocked driving at 109mph (175kmh) on the M62 motorway in northern England.
A Vicenza police spokesman said that, in contrast to some of his previous encounters with traffic police, Balotelli had apologised and calmly accepted his punishment.

See The 7 Times Jamaican Sprinter, Usain Bolt Broke World Records



Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter and currently the fastest human in the world. He is the first person to hold both the 100 metres and 200 metres world records since fully automatic time became mandatory.
Although his final race at the #London17 World Championship left fans disappointed, Bolt’s accomplishments cannot be easily forgotten.
Here are the 7 times he has broken world records;
1. Reebok Grand Prix: 100 Metres
The 6ft 5in Jamaican, unsurprisingly nicknamed Lightning Bolt in the Caribbean, clocked 9.72 seconds at the Reebok Grand Prix in the Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island to wipe 0.02sec off the mark set only eight months ago by his compatriot, Asafa Powell.
2. 2008 Olympic Games: 100meters
The men’s 100 metres sprint event at the 2008 Olympic Games took place on 15 and 16 August at the Beijing National Stadium.
The final was won by Jamaican Usain Bolt in a world record time of 9.69 seconds.
3. 2008 Olympic Games: 200meters
Usain Bolt achieved the seemingly impossible and broken Michael Johnson’s ‘unbreakable’ 200m world record with a sensational 19.30 secs to win the Olympic gold medal and destroy the field.
4. 2009 World Championships: 100 Metres
The men’s 100 meters at the 2009 World Championships held on August 16th, 2009. The two main contenders were the reigning World Champion Tyson Gay and Usain Bolt, the reigning Olympic champion and world record holder.
He finished in a world record-breaking time of 9.58 seconds, beating Gay by some distance, even though the American had run 9.71 seconds, which was the third fastest time ever.
5. 2009 World Championships: 200 Metres
Jamaican sprint superstar Usain Bolt claimed yet another world record when he recorded a stunning victory in the 200m final at the World Championships.
Bolt set a time of 19.19 seconds to demolish the previous record of 19.30.
6. 2011 World Championships: 4 x 100 Metres
The Men’s 4 × 100 meters relay event at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics held on the 4th of September. Together with Nesta Carter, Michael Frater and Yohan Blake, Usain Bolt took the anchor leg and bettered the World Record set by Jamaica to finish in a time of 37.04.
7. 2012 Olympic Games
The Jamaican national team, led by Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt, won the gold medal and broke their own world record of 37.04 set at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics, with a time of 36.84.

‘Why Chelsea Will Not Win The Premier League Title Again’- Arsenal Boss Wenger Reveals



Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, has said it would be tough for Chelsea to defend their Premier League title this season.
Wenger expects the league’s elite teams to be stronger after the summer transfer market and sees the Blues dropping more points.
“I expect them to fight for the championship.
“But will they make as many points? I don’t know.
“You could expect that some teams will be stronger as well and take points from them,” the Frenchman said.
Wenger will lead his side out against Antonio Conte’s men on Sunday, as the season begins with the Community Shield.

Ronaldo Battle, Messi, Dybala For UEFA’s Top Award



It’s that time of the year again where the best players of the past season are recognised in the UEFA Best Player Award ceremony, and unsurprisingly, two of the greatest players of the modern game, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been shortlisted.
Messi and Ronaldo are in the running for the best attacker category alongside new kid on the block, Juventus forward Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann, 23, emerged as one of the star players of the past season, guiding the Bianconerri to the Champions League final where they eventually fell to a Ronaldo-inspired Real Madrid on that memorable night in Cardiff.
While he and compatriot Messi both stood out last campaign, it’s going to be a tough task deposing Ronaldo from the throne.
Madrid dominate 12-man shortlist
The midfield category is dominated by Real Madrid after their Champions League and La Liga exploits last season, with Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro battling for the top honour.
It’s a similar scenario in defence where Real’s talismanic captain Sergio Ramos has been nominated for the best defender alongside teammate Marcelo and former Juve defender Leonardo Bonucci, who completed a shock switch to AC Milan.
The award for best goalkeeper sees Juve and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon up against Bayern Munich safe hands Manuel Neuer and Atletico Madrid rising star Jan Oblak.
These awards complement the UEFA Men’s and Women’s Player of the Year prizes, with the finalists set to be announced on 15 August ahead of the Champions League group stage draw in Monaco on 24 August.
Ronaldo is heavy favourite to take home a record third gong after guiding Los Blancos to a second successive Champions League crown last season.

Chelsea Blast Striker Diego Costa’s Lawyer, Says ‘He Is Not Well Informed’



Chelsea have described claims that manager Antonio Conte, is forcing Diego Costa out of the club as “just nonsense”.
The player’s lawyer, Ricardo Cardoso, told Spanish news agency EFE on Thursday, that his client intended to ‘formally request a transfer’ and also threatened the Premier League champions with legal action .
Chelsea insist the decision on Costa was made in January and say Cardoso is “not well informed”.
“If I may I would like to say something on behalf of the club. We don’t usually respond to comments of this nature, but I think we should do on this occasion,” a Chelsea spokesman told Sky Sports.
“The premise the lawyer has put forward is just wrong. As Antonio has said, I think this is worth repeating, that the decision on Diego was made back in January.
“The player knew the decision, the agent knew the decision, and clearly the lawyer has not been well informed.
“So, the lawyer’s argument that Antonio has forced the player out by text message in June is just nonsense. As a club we’re going to leave it there and see what the window brings. ”
Costa scored 20 goals in 35 Premier League appearances last season as Chelsea cruised to the title.

Football Star James Rodriguez Divorces Wife Of 6 Years After Cheating On Her With Model



Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez has split from his wife after six years of marriage, following reports of an affair with a model.
It has been confirmed that James Rodriguez, on loan from Real Madrid, has parted with Daniela Ospina, sister of Arsenal goalkeeper David.
This comes amid reports in Colombia and Spain that Rodriguez has been involved in a love triangle with model Helga Lovekaty.
According to Marca, an affair with Lovekaty is the reason for the end of the footballer’s marriage to the mother of his only child.
 
A statement from Ospina’s manager confirmed the pair, who have a daughter together, had made the decision amicably.
The message, shared on social media, said;
‘Daniela Ospina and James Rodriguez, parents to Salome Rodriguez Ospina, are making official their separation after six and half years of marriage.
‘It is done in the best possible terms and it is a mutual decision. They’ll maintain a relationship of love and of respect, always with Salome’s well being at heart.’
The couple, both Colombian, had married when they were teenagers, with Rodriguez aged 19 and Ospina just 18.

Emirates Cup!! Arsenal Beat Benfica 5-2 To Go Top Of Group



Arsenal opened their 2017 Emirates Cup, with a comprehensive 5-2 victory over Benfica on Saturday evening.
The Gunners, who have won the competition four times in the past, went behind thanks to a deflected Franco Cervi goal. Theo Walcott netted a brace to give Arsene Wenger’s men the lead for the first time in the game.
However, the half finished 2-2, after Eduardo Salvio beat David Ospina with the aid of another deflection.
After the break, Lisandro Lopez turned Walcott’s cross into the back of his own net, before Olivier Giroud got on the scoresheet with a fine volley.
Giroud then teed up Alex Iwobi for the fifth
Arsenal now top with 8points – 3 points for the win and 5 points for goals scored.
Sevilla, who beat RB Leipzig 1-0 in the opening match, are second with four points..

The 1000 Swedish Krona note is the highest denomination in the Scandanavian country, The note is equivalent to £93 .

Just In!! Bayern Munich Confirm Conte Wants To Sign This Player For Chelsea (Pictured)



Bayern Munich have revealed that Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has asked about signing Renato Sanches.
AC Milan seemed to be close to landing the teenager, who has struggled in Germany since his £30million move from Benfica last summer.
Conte asked about Renato Sanches after the Blues lost 3-2 to Bayern in a pre-season friendly in Singapore.
The 19-year-old’s performance was impressive enough for Conte to check out his availability.
Bayern chief executive, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has confirmed they will allow the Portuguese international to go out on loan, with Stamford Bridge now an option.
There are at least 10 teams after Sanches.
“Conte asked for some information about him after Tuesday’s game because he knows he can make the difference on the pitch,” Rummenigge told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Barcelona Star Neymar Fights With Team Mate, Storms Out Of Training As PSG Move Intensifies [VIDEO]



Neymar has been filmed clashing with a Barcelona teammate in training amid growing speculation he is set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Sky Sports News broadcast the footage, which it says is courtesy of Splash News, on Friday morning in the UK. The Daily Mail’s website also carried the footage.
The clip appears to show new signing Nelson Semedo challenging Neymar during a training session before the Brazil forward reacts angrily and is held back by Sergio Busquets.
Neymar then walks away from the training session, which took place in Miami. Barcelona play Real Madrid in an International Champions Cup match at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday.
The incident comes at a time when Neymar, 25, is considering a move to Paris Saint-Germain. A source told ESPN FC last weekend that Neymar and his father have agreed a contract with PSG and it is up to the club to find a way to complete the move without falling foul of financial fair play rules.
UEFA’s FFP head has since told L’Equipe he believes PSG will have “done their sums well.”
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain right-back Dani Alves has hit out at suggestions that he is trying to sway Neymar’s decision over his future.

Manchester United Boss Mourinho Speaks On CAF’s Changes To The African Cup Of Nations



Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has hailed the change in schedule for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to the summer months, as ‘fantastic’ news for European clubs.
Speaking to KweséESPN after Wednesday night’s 1-0 International Champions Cup defeat to Barcelona, he said: “If that’s the change then it’s fantastic for us.
“Obviously because it’s hard in the middle of the season to lose players like we do, and with so many African players playing in the best competitions in Europe it’s not good for the clubs, it’s not good for the competitions and it’s not good for the players.
“So if you can do that and you manage to do the Africa Cup in the European break. It’s fantastic for us.”
Mourinho was without defender Eric Bailly, during a key period of last season, when he represented Ivory Coast at the AFCON in Gabon.

David Beckham Signs Autograph On Girl’s Buttock, Incurs Wife’s Wrath [Photo]



A simple act of signing his world famous autograph on a fan’s bum shorts has angered Victoria, wife of highly rated footballer, David Beckham.
Beckham was pictured on Sunday signing the girl’s bottom in Kernville, California, when he stopped to rest during a road trip, Mail has reported.
His love of partying is also said to be driving a wedge between him and his wife of 18 years, Victoria. Enjoying a spot of ‘guy time’ away from family, the 42-year-old hunk had pulled over at a hardware store during his motorcycle road trip with a mate, when he was faced with the cheeky request
Proving that his global fan base can spot him anywhere, David was approached for an autograph on the side of the road. He kindly obliged, sitting on the side of his motorcycle and leaning in as the lady turned round and offered her hip.
The heavily-tattooed fan was minimally dressed for the heat in thigh-skimming Daisy Dukes bum shorts jeans and a vest top rolled up to her mid section.
It’s done nothing to dispel rumours that David and his wife-of-18-years, Victoria, are growing apart. New reports on Sunday morning suggested that they have built separate ‘his and hers’ wings into their £5m converted farmhouse.
The claims suggest that David’s love of partying is driving a wedge between the couple and the designs will put further physical distance — an estimated 50 yards — between them, too.
The Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire home has been created from three barns and the living quarters are said to be separated by a gallery.
