Watford are considering to cash in on Odion Ighalo amidst speculation of a mouth-watering deal from China.
Ighalo rejected a big money move to Shanghai SIPG last summer but Shenhua are now in for him
The Super Eagles star has fallen down the pecking order at the Vicarage road after been unable to repeat his last season heroics in the Premier League. Walter Mazzari is believed to keen on selling the star following the arrival of M’Baye Niang from AC Milan on a loan move.
Ighalo has found the net only twice in the last 12 months for his current side despite forming an excellent partnership with Troy Deeney last season.
The 27-year-old forward could be the second Nigerian player to move to China after Mikel Obi’s transfer earlier this month. Having rejected a staggering £37.5m move to the Far East, Ighalo might have little choices than moving away from the Vicarage road for better first team opportunities.
Mazzari has also admitted the striker might leave the club before the end of the January transfer window, he said: “With Odion Ighalo, we know there are some offers, but it is still too early to say anything.\
“I don’t like to say all the details because I don’t know them, but I know there is more than one – and there might be one from China.
